Session Basics

Outdoors or in your home, natural light and flash assisted lighting, I am able to work in a wide variety of situations. Archival Fine Art Prints, Custom Canvas Collections, and albums are available for purchase.

We’ll start out with a portrait design consult, usually over the phone or in your home, where we will get to know each other and discuss what your portrait needs are, where you envision hanging your portrait, as well as how to make wardrobe decisions in keeping with your personal and home aesthetic. This is an important step as we work together to create your portraits. It helps me understand your needs better in order to provide you with the customized experience and finished products you want. This meeting also helps you think intentionally about your portraits, both in terms of how to create the feel that you want in the portrait itself and planning for its place in your home.

The portrait session will typically last about 45-90 minutes. I have a fun and lighthearted approach that connects your personal and family dynamics with my own sense of creativity. Every one of my clients tends to walk away saying, “That was so much more fun than I imagined!” I LOVE hearing that!

Each portrait session is followed about a week or two later by an in person or online ordering session where you will be able to experience some of the products I offer and decide what you feel best fits your home and family. There is no order minimum. Cotton fiber based and archival for 100+ years, my fine art prints begin at 150 dollars for an 11×14. Custom framed fine art prints, fine art canvases and metals begin at 300 dollars for an 11×14. Hand delivery of these fine art products can take up to 4-6 weeks, depending on the scale and size of your order as well as the time of year.

Please note: 15 High-Resolution digital backup files printable up to 11×14 are included in the price of your session. More are available for individual or bulk purchase.

As you have probably noticed, I care deeply about getting your photos off of the computer and onto your walls or into your hands. When you make the decision to invest in a portrait on your wall or an album full of treasured memories, something lasting that you can hold or hang and hand down through the generations, it is more than just a record of something that once happened. It becomes a family treasure. Because I invest my experience and time into the creation of these pieces and I know that they will be treasured for years to come I entrust the printing of your portraits to exclusive photographic arts creators and I stand behind my product.
