A Gorgeous Brentwood, California Wedding

Another Beautiful Golf Course and Country Club Wedding

I was so blessed to be able to second shoot this wedding with my dear friend and fellow photographer, Katie, whose own wedding I had the privilege or photographing as well. It’s always a fun adventure and a delight.

But wait… Oh, I have to photograph a man in uniform?

Woe. is. me. How shall I survive? I don’t know but I will try to just get through it.

Chris had a bunch of fun groomsmen. Groomsmen can be a pretty fun bunch to photograph.

And here is where I give you my opinion on the ever controversial question of “should we or shouldn’t we do a first look?” Like most photographers I know, I’m going to shout a hearty YESSS! GOSH! (Think Napolean Dynamite.)

I think Aimee and Chris pretty much sum up why a first look is such a great decision. It was SO much fun having so much time to photograph them as a couple and it really does make the time after the ceremony so much less stressful.

It’s always fun shooting couples who are so crazy about each other.

Aimee was nothing short of ridiculously stunningly gorgeous.

Aimee’s amazing makeup was done by her talented sister at Makeup by Samantha Keefauver. Stunning!

One of my favorite moments to capture (which I’m more able to capture when I’m second shooting) is the bride and groom’s first interactions after just walking back down the aisle together. It’s when it sinks in… You’re mine!

And then of course it’s on to the reception!

So much fun!

That’s how a wedding should be.

We are not wanderers. We are sojourners traveling together along a broken path, following the one who goes before us into the suffering and into the ever brightening glory.
